eBay is holding a session to give sellers a sneak peek at the upcoming eBay Open conference to help them decide which sessions they wish to attend. The 3-day eBay Open event will take place virtually on September 27 – 29, 2023, and will offer virtual keynotes, seller-led sessions, training with eBay staff, category breakouts, and networking.
On September 14, sellers can attend the “Sneak Peek” event from 12 to noon to 1:00 PM Pacific where the head of eBay Marketplaces US Adam Ireland and eBay Director of Community & Engagement Rebecca Michaels will offer information to help sellers determine how to decide which sessions to attend and how to map out their days.
New to the eBay Open event this year is one-on-one speed networking. Michaels explained the concept during an eBay for Business podcast that aired on September 5th. “We’ll have the option for sellers to be matched with another seller for a five minute chat,” she explained. “Each seller will be matched based on whatever interests they added in their profile when they sign up to go to open. And we think this is a great way to have a more personal conversation in connection with another seller and remove a little bit of the awkwardness of just having to like send a DMM to someone like hi, wanna be friends? So we’re trying to ease some of that and to help build community for the sellers.”
Ireland explained during the podcast that eBay Open will also have 25 standard networking rooms where sellers can gather to talk about certain topics or meet other sellers in their region.
